I took many notes, and Alan your description of a sidewheeler cabin deck was wonderful. Where were the steps located going from the cabin deock to the main deck? One diagram showed them at the aft end of the paddlewheel housings. And what about the steps going from cabin to hurricane deck? And a really BIG question--would anyone volunteer to read a draft and comment on the accuracy of the steamboat infor? I would pay in book copies! It should be out in 2010.
