That is an interesting name for a boat in Pittsburgh, and I see Franz didn't find anything on it in Way's. Does anybody know for what or whom it could have been named? I'm familiar with that name out on the coast in Oregon. There's an Umpqua River, National Forest, and all sorts of businesses named that along the Pacific Highway 101. Just as Weyerhaueser Denkmann moved from Rock Island to Oregon, did Umpqua move there from Pennsylvania???
