This weekend I heard that the Portland and the Marie Louise (Hal Wilmunder's boat, formerly of Sacramento, CA) are now both in Alaska. Anyone know of their current whereabouts & status?
Thanks!

Portland

David,

The paddlewheel steamboat Portland is located in Portland,OR, and is "housing" the Oregon Maritime Museum, see

Also check our photo album

Wasn´t it "Elizabeth Louise"?? Last I heard is that the boat was for sale. Last location was Sacramento, CA.

Ah, yes, I stand corrected, Elizabeth Louise. The boat is not in Sacramento anymore. My information source is VERY reliable regarding that boat, but wasn't clear as to its present operation, but mentioned Sasketchawan (sp?) as a likely location.

Elizabeth Louise whereabouts

The Elizabeth Louise is now the Alaska Queen located in Ketchikan, Alaska. You can see a picture of the way she looks today on the web site by typing in "Alaska Queen Paddle Wheel Adventure" in the search box.

Steamer Portland Museum

Why is the Oregon Maritime Museum's website so lame? I have never been able to view it for years. It always has technical difficulties. Currently, no matter what you do, it presents a "Flash" installation demand.
