Nice spot
That was a nice spot on WWL-TV, but I realized I haven't seen Tom Hook in years! Did anyone else notice on his closeups how his facial mannerisms looked like Vic Tooker's? For those not famiiar with New Orleans, this bar is over on the West Bank, in Algiers Point. Patterson Rd. parallels the river from the ferry landing down to the Algiers Canal.

Man, these guys get it. They are both excellent speakers. Not only do they communicate the romance of the river, but they tell of the eloquence of the boat and what steamboatin' is all about. This is the kind of stuff that only Betty Blake and Miriam Edgar could do for us in the media back in the "good old days".
Kudos to the new owners of the DQ! I'm convinced that the boat is in good hands.

If they would answer emails or phone calls they would get more help. I've tried several times.
