I'm enclosing a short video clip of the BoL leaving Carrollton en-route to Cincinnati. Was that Sunday, Oct. 1? Anyway, it's a quicktime file and I don't know if this will work but here goes....

Thanks, Judy. I still can't open this file from here. Has anyone else been able to view the movie file?
Speaking of Oct 2nd, it was Oct 2, 1960 that I rode another steam excursion, the last run of Illinois Central 4-8-2 2613 from Louisville to Dawson Springs, KY. I had a ride in the cab from Central City to Dawson Springs. What a great day that was! Actually, the IC ran the engine infreight service several times after that but the Oct 2, 1960 excursion was the last steam passenger train on the IC. The engine is featured in one of the flood wall murals at Paducah.

Jim,
The BELLE is actually replying to my Pittsburgh Harbor salute from the BARBARA H, which I did as soon as I could see they were underway coming ahead. Got anymore more sound bites from their departure? If you have my salute (just a few moments before your movie starts) let me know!
