Greetings From Jackson , Mississippi !
Hello from Jackson , Mississippi ! I and my wife , Lynne are spending the second night in a Jackson , Mississippi hotel due to the fact that even now , 8:30 pm , it is still uncertain what the present and the future for the surrounding New Orleans and Louisiana area holds from the aftermath of Hurricane Gustov . From what I am hearing from the media New Orleans has dodged the bullet , the levees have held and hopfully the next few states that Gustov decides to visit will do the same . Tomorrow , I leave for New Orleans and due to my credentials and position with the state , I should be able to clear the state trooper and natiion guard check points and return to work and help re-start the shipping and commerce on the Mississippi River . The really GOOD NEWS now is the fact that David Tschiggfrie has graciously accepted the position of Treasurer for the Capt. Wagner Memorial . Now , as I told David , please do not send whats in your wallet but please send whats in your heart ! I for one would like to see people donate their time , their ideas , their influence , their sweat and yes what they can afford . What continues to energize me is something that David memtioned to me in an e-mail and no words can better describe the fact that , " Cap. Wagner brought out the very BEST in all of us that worked for him " and I truly believe that what Big Cap taught us , trained us and showed us has directly contributed to our individual and respective success stories that we each enjoy today . So , if interested in contributing to the Captain Wagner Memorial , please contact David and make the necessary arrangements to make your donations regardless of the shape or form that they may take. Thank You One And All !
Smooth Sailing !
