I'm looking for a Sternwheeler for sale. I'm wanting to start up a sightseeing operation in middle Tennessee so it needs to be a real "passenger vessel".
Prefer one in good shape w/current COI for 149 passengers. Would look at larger boats if the price was right.
Would be nice to find an authentic paddlewheel-driven boat but would take one with twin-screws as well. Really need one with an operating stageplank too.
Contact me thru this thread or email to [email protected] if anyone knows of a boat that's available?

Tell him we sent you.
Shipyard,
I had already checked out that boat. Think had been listed in B & H mag. a couple of months ago.
It's really not what I want.........would make a neat ferryboat though? It's more of an covered-deck barge hull and I'm wanting some nice sit-down-enclosed space like a smaller version of the Arkansas Queen that I worked on last year.

Cotton Blossom For Sale
Mark ,
have you had an opportunity to contact Frank Crane , the present owner of the M/V Cotton Blossom ? The last time I saw the Cotton Blossom and Frank Crane for that matter , the boat was definately for sale . Personally , I would hate to see the boat go and leave the area but unfortunately the locals and the local politics are just simply not to condusive to a paddlewheel excursion boat plying the waters of the Tchefuncta River . Good luck on your quest and if you'd care to cantact Frank I may be of assistance .

Mr. Davisson,
I was going to suggest the same thing, but this man wants a boat with a current COI. Didn't the Cotton Blossom's expire already?

I was of the undeerstanding that the Cotton Blossom's COI was still current but I will make it a point to check with Fran Crane , the present owner to confirm this .

The COTTON BLOSSOM's COI expired while Mr. Crane was fighting the docking issue.
thanks for the update Judy. Mr. Crane came down to the boat while I was still there and was talking to Don about it, though he never clearly said whether it had expired or not
The Cotton Blossom's COI expired on 4-01-07 and its document was allowed to expire on 3-31-06. This according to the C.G. web site.
Capt. Mark: Call Capt. Alan Bernstein at BB Riverboats, 859-292-2449 or his cell 859-802-6021.
