On July 26, I received an Email from MAL offering Fall and holiday cruises on the AQ as follows:
2 for 1 fares + free air fares from $ 1015 on the AQ Mississippi River cruises Sept 2-Dec 21. Also, kids under 17 can cruise for free. Is that a first?
They are also offering 7 nights from $ 1079 up on the Queen of the West and Empress of the North from Oct 6-Dec 26 and discounts on their Alaska cruises.
Any comments?

Jim, Kids had always been able to cruise for free until Mal took over. I read somewhere that kids would be charged 150.00 per day plus port charges. So this may be a first for Mal. I just got back from a trip on the AQ so these discounts won't work for me. I hope they have some equally good ones next year. I travel on the boats with my three sisters and we are only allowed 1 trip a year (unfortunately)

Yes, Jim,
Kids used to be free under 17 in a triple or quad. Majestic is charging $150 per night for every third or fourth person including kids (plus port charges). New is also that in case a second cabin is needed kids are $500.
Here´s the press release
