Is anybody else getting a page in German Fehler 403 instead of what Franz posted? I can't click on his posting to reply, either.

rgr on that Judy, must be an error in the directory
Okay, I give up for now. I have no idea why this 403 error is showing up ... This is what I tried to post, and I hope pasting the text here won't cause another 403 error ...

I'm getting quite a few request every week from people who have lost their password for the message board. Here is what you can do:
Right next to the "Log in" button there is a link called "forgot password?". (if you don't see this link, you're still logged in and don't need your password right now.)
Please click on that link (Or use this link: request a new password). You'll be asked for your e-mail address. Please enter the e-mail address you've used when signing up for the message board and click on the "Request Username / Password Now" button.
You should receive an e-mail within the next few minutes with a new password. Of course you can change this password to your liking once you're logged in successfully by clicking on the link "User Control Panel" in the upper left corner.
If you don't receive the e-mail with a new password within 30 minutes, it's very likely that a spam filter either on your computer or from your Internet provider has blocked the e-mail. If this happens, please send me an e-mail so I can reset your password manually. Please be aware that I'll be sending you an e-mail with a new password from a totally different e-mail address (not steamboats.org or steamboats.de as usual, but [email protected]) to prevent this e-mail from getting stuck in the same spam filter as the original, automatically generated password e-mail.
Please, for speed and convenience, only send me an e-mail password request when the automatic password recovery function (as descibed above) does not work for you for some reason.
