Thanks to the work of Shawn Turner, our wonderful fundraising chairperson at the HSM, as well as our friends at Buckhead Mountain Grill on the Jeffersonville waterfront, we will again observe HOWARD STEAMBOAT MUSEUM DAY on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6th.
When you present a copy of the attached flyer to your server 20% of the check will be generously donated to the Howard Steamboat Museum! This applies to both lunch and dinner.
Come on down and enjoy a memorable meal alongside the beautiful Ohio -- and help support the museum!
IF any delegates from the Inland Waterways Conference want to journey across the Second Street Bridge (an easy and quick trek) for dinner at Buckhead Mountain Grill on Wednesday evening, please print out the flyer in my previous posting and present to your server which will direct 20% of the check to benefit the Howard Steamboat Museum.
I'll also be happy to open the museum for an "after hours" tour to accommodate the conference schedule!
THANKS!

Dining at Buckhead today
Wish I were in the area so I could participate in the Howard Day at Buckheads. I hope you have a good turnout of hungry/thirsty locals!
Thanks Judy! Wish you could be here, too, but it won't be long until May and you'll be making your annual trek over here to volunteer at Chautauqua!
They are forecasting MORE snow for tonight! It's going to be a good evening to sit by the big fireplace at Buckhead's!
Chautauqua weekend at the Howard
Speaking of the Chautauqua Weekend at the Howard, it is May 18-19 this year, and rumor has it that one of the authors' row booths is going to be occupied by Annie and Jim Blum...usually there aren't many river people at this arts and crafts weekend, but maybe we can 'up' that number this year. Good Ted will most likely be there again with his organ and monkey as well as the Blums and other local river elite. I'll have my usual spot at the Towne Place Suites and we can gather after a Kingfish dinner to river talk. It ain't no country club, but we always have plenty of 'contacts' there to cause good conversation and conviviality. A word of warning to out-of-towners: apparently there is some big convention in town, so if you are thinking about coming over, best make a hotel reservation ASAP...
