Greetings From New Orleans ,
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely THANK one and all that attended the recent Louisville Propellet Club meeting and made my appearance and presentation a success and a memorable one for both me and my wife Lynne . As I also mentioned at the meeting , for me at least it was like a Home Coming , to see some old faces and to make some new acquaintences as well ! Thank you all so much !

No, Ted, thank you for a wonderful program. It was one of the best we've had in many a year, you should go into the business. It was so nice meeting you and your beautiful wife. Hope you enjoyed your visit to the snowy north. Now that you've been here, don't make yourself a stranger, you are always welcomed back. How'd you like Louisville's famous Hot Brown?
Jim, many thanks for inviting all those "dot-orgers" to invade. It was a wonderful time! We enjoyed Captain Ted's presentation, and I enjoyed seeing some of those steamboat legends who occasionally post on this forum. For a relative newcomer like me, it's always a gift to listen to the stories! Thanks again for thinking of us.
Better Late Than Never !
Greetins Again From New Oreleans ,
As is the case with many things , I believe thats its better late than never with this as well . I would like to personally thank Capt . Jamie Donahue for literally running my wife and I all over Louisville in his personal car ! His assistance naturally elimenated the need for both a rental car and a taxi and of course the hassel of trying to navigate through all of Louisville as well ! So , once again , Capt. Donahue , thanks for all of your courtesy and sssistance with the Louisville Propeller Club persentation !
All The Very Best !

Group shots of the Dot-Org group, or as one wag called us, The Dogs.
Left to Right:
Don "Shipyard Sam" Sanders, DQ Riverlorian "Steamboat Mary" Charlton, Jim "Jim's Dream" Reising, Mike "Cap'n Happy" Blitgen, Ted "Living Legend" Davisson, Keith "Engine Expert" Baylor, Charles (See Below) Lehman, Alan "Everyone's Favorite Writer" Bates, Jo Ann "Premier Steamboat Buff" Schoen, and Phillip"The New Breed" Johnson.
Chief Engineer Kenny P. Howe, Jr. holds up the left side of the second picture while Phillip is seen peeking around the border on the other side.
Captain Charles Lehman is a retired Pilot for ABL who specialized in work on the Upper Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. I asked him if there wasn't a towboat named for him, and he said there had been a one, but after ABL sold it to PKC Properties LLC, Greenville, in 2001, the new owners renamed his boat the LIMESTONE LADY. Sort of a let-down Captain Charlie seemed to indicate, and after meeting this fine gentleman, I wished the CHARLES LEHMAN was still running under his name.

Great picture!!!!! Sorry to have missed it!
Yes, thanks for the great DOGS Picture.
How about a left to right ID on that photo. I can only identify 3 of them. Thanks.
Hmm,
So does that make us here FRN Dogs? Maybe we'll have to make up some "Dog tags" 🙂
