It was a mystery for me for a long time why the built-in search function of the messageboard didn't work. I suppose many of you have tried the search in the past and failed.
I found the reason for the problem and fixed it. So now the search funktion is really working! 🙂

It's a nice feature, especially if you are looking for a member's posts, and you can enter their name. I "belong" to a General Motors news & fan website much like this site in layout, they are on the Jelsoft forum like this with about 3 dozen subforums...click on "new posts" and it will take you there...
Thanks Franz! Your doin'g a great job here; it's a lot of work so hope you realize how much it is appreciated!
Steamcerely,

Okay, here is another great search feature: I played around with a new Google feature and now you can search all steamboat related websites on the Internet without having all that "steamboat ski resort" and other unrelated stuff in your search results.
This new search feature only searches in websites that I have manually added to a list (it's the list of steamboat and river related websites we have in the directory here already).
Try out the new, Internet-wide search: http://www.steamboats.org/steamboats-search/steamboats-seatch.html
As you're used from other steamboats.org pages, the search results do contain Google advertising in the right pane (not in the search results itself, of course!). For every click on on eof these ads Google pays some fees to Steamboats.org - that is how Steamboats.org is being funded 😉
