In about five minutes I will head down to Riverfront Park to say my last goodbye to the Steamer Delta Queen. A ritual I have done many times but usually with joy in my heart and a quick step down the hill. Not this time. This is a trip that I would rather not make. I doubt that there will be much fanfare since it seems that Nashville is mostly unaware of the possibility that this could be a history making day. I will try to keep positive thoughts that there will be more opportunities to greet the Queen next year and make the best of a very sad situation. Goodbye from Nashville.
