The deed is done, and now the cat's out of the bag. The Rabbit Hash Shipyard has finally closed the deal on a new Yard Work Boat (YWB), named the YWB-1041, NEW DAY. For now, the ND is resting at the "Pirate's Cove Shipyard" in Decatur, Alabama where she way stay for the winter... maybe longer. For a sneak-peek at the Pride of the RHSY fleet, please go to:

Shipyard,

Let me be the first to formally congratulate you on the purchase of the "NEW DAY". She's as pretty as a picture and will certainly fit right in at the Mid Ohio Sternwheel, steam launch, and towboat festival in a few years. You all keep your ears open for more details and plans of this future grand and annual event. Congrats again Sam, can't wait to see her in person!

Cap'n Walnut opines that it is about time that the shipyard got a yard "mule" other than Clifford's jackboat (not a selfrespecting jonboat) engined with a WWII vintage Whizzer bicycle engine burning some elixer out of Eastern Kentucky. Seems as if that stuff is in demand as a social solvent of some efficiency if not potency. Please tell us that the NEW DAY does not burn corn squeezins however much may be shipped aboard! Congrats to the Cap'n and crew. Cap'n Walnut has been grousing about all the time that MISSIE has been outta water this summer and may be lookin for a berth where the work is not so hard. Sez he can choke a willer with the best of them though he's been known to have trouble tellin' a horseweed from a willer now n then.

Thanks gentlemen for your kind words. The NEW DAY is a authentic workboat and not a sissy houseboat. You'll love her as much as I do, I'm sure, when we eventually bring her North. Something tells me we are in for a COLD winter.
