Why are their no stops for the AQ in Winona,MN even though she will be stopping in La Crosse,Red Wing,MN and the twin cities and why wont she stop in Alton,IL.Queen of the Mississippi will stop in Winona and Alton so why wont AQ.

UMR stops
There are no overnight stops during a UMR trip. Winona is only 29 miles above LaCrosse, so if the Lax stop goes until 1 or so, they'd arrive at Winona about 5PM, not a normal shore stop time. Besides, some people take a CRUISE to be CRUISING, not bussing around on land. Alton is only 25 miles upriver from St. Louis and is passed about 2 AM, certainly not a shore stop time. The QOM advertises its quick speed which will allow for more shore stops, but again, do you want a boat ride or a bus ride????

Sorry i should of wrote 2012 schedule instead of overnight schedule.What i was actually wondering is why she wont be making any day stops in Winona and Alton.
