After being asked by several of you I have finally put my AQ, MQ and DQ photos on my website. I hope these photos bring back some fond memories of the boats and all the fine people who ride and work on them. Many of the images are familiar to most of you and need no explanation, but I have included some comments to explain others. If I have left you out or misspelled your name, I apologise. Many of my images were on the computer aboard the AQ and are lost to me. I'm really disappointed that I don't have a photo of my favorite Captain, Paul "P.T." Thaney. I must have photographed him a thousand times meeting passengers at the Captains Champagne Reception, but I can't find one of him anywhere. Anyway, thanks P.T. You were the first person to welcome me to Steamboatin' and I won't forget it. To see the photos you may go to: riverlifephoto.com then click on the sales link. There are several galleries there, but just select DQSC Photos. Comments are greatly appreciated.
Very nice pictures, John. Thanks a lot.

Here's one of PT for your archives John. Yes, PT is one of the most personable, even-keeled guys I've met on the Queens. He was at his absolute best during the 6 day boiler layup here in '04. No one knew how long that deal was going to last and he was able to keep both passengers and crew in good spirits throughout. I'm sure the crew wouldn't have been able to function as well as they did had they had some nervous Nelly in charge during that situation, but PT just rolled with the punches and so did they...
John, As a newbee to this board...I truly enjoyed all the pictures. I can't wait to take my own next month.

Thanks Judy. I know your name from this web site, but have we met? There are so many people I've met on the Queens, I'm embarassed to say, that sometimes I can't remember a face or name.
Well, if you met the person who brings the cookies to the crew at the lock in Rock Island and at the Davenport stop, and who runs errands and takes the crew places at Davenport, we've met. I usually take some cookies to the Pursers Office then some up to the pilothouse where I chat until someone calls for a ride somewhere, so I'm not all over the boat during the shore stop.
I sure remember hearing many comments praising the "cookie lady" and seeing a plate full of crumbs, but I don't think we ever met. What a shame. I never even got to try one of your famous cookies. They got gone pretty quick as I recall.
