Looks like she was caught in not-so-ship-shape on June 10. Read the article below.
Husted stays strong on Photo ID (The Daily Briefing)
Maybe just the tip of the iceberg for this inspection...LOL
*RE: QM-2 Inspection*
Hi, Taylor & Steamboating colleagues:
I looked, clicked the above RE: QM-2 inspection and either have missed something or I'm doing it wrong. I see a news article RE: political issue with Husted etc. not the QM-2.
These things easily happen. Look again and check. Several times in the past posters on this web have been exchanging off line E=Mails and I accidentally received the personal mesages. Frank Prudent is a dedicated CUNARD ship fan with many sailings and possibly may have heard this. I'll check my arriving business E=Mails first of the week for other articles/bulletins 'to the trade.'

Simply put,
Me too, got an article on Husted's voter ID bill.
OOOPS!
My apologies everyone! I had copy and pasted the Husted article for Facebook and found the QM2 article on CNN! LOL I obviously didn't get the copy down pat before I pasted. Judy found the article so I'll not waste anymore time on this posting and redirect readers to her posting!
Thanks for the CORRECT link, Judy! Much appreciated.

The US Government's Ship Health Inspection Program is very thorough, and the Delta Queen boats faced the same strenuous test when they were running. Sometimes they passed and other times they did not. Years ago Mike Menard, Capt. Ed Winford and I walked around the MQ, and Mike explained to us what the inspection entailed. I'm not sure that many of our houses would pass!
In recent memory, while under MAL-management some might remember the dreaded Noro Virus that plagued the MQ. I certainly do, as I spent my last night ever on her mostly in the water closet. A perfect score on the Government's inspection would not have necessarily prevented such an outbreak.
Do cruise lines take the Health Inspection scores seriously. You bet they do, and as Martha Stewart is want to say, "And it's a good thing." Cunard is under the microscope, and I'm sure next inspection things will be much improved.
