Dear Seamboating colleagues:
Many thanks to Frank Prudent for posting "at sea" on his CUNARD liner RE: plans for MOR and the October BELLE OF LOUISVILLE's centenary year.
The annual renewal of both old and new members for Sons & Daughters of Pioneer Rivermen is now underway as many of you noted in your stellar December issue of the REFLECTOR. Secretary Sharon Reynolds working hard with all arriving checks, names added, return in the mail with 'Richardson Printing' promptly sent updated membership lists for mailing. Many thanks to Sharon.
All checks promptly forwarded to me here for recording and banking so all old and new members receive note via their own banks. I enjoy seeing all the names on the checks, addresses. Many new names unknown to me representing at present nearly every state in the union and even a few foreign addresses. Rest assured S&D highly values each and every member to our fold. I've just delivered all of our year 2013 records/reports for annual Federal IRS/State of Ohio filing under our 501(C)3 statues as we are not only history in concept but regarded as "a service organization."
September, 2014 marks S&D's 75th year of existence with many fine programs and even surprises in store. We heartily invite all who can to attend. More information on this will appear via the S&D web site, the REFLECTOR and FACEBOOK with board member Taylor Abbott posting there. Again, a happy, healthy year 2014.
