Historic Ships/Boats and Education
Visit to 'Alang' private home of Pete Knego to view his fine collection of ship/maritime memorabilia.
*Sunday
Annual SSHSA meeting
Presentation by maritime artist Ken Marshall on 'TITANIC: Unseen Interiors. Marshall has produced/illustrated fine books on TITANIC, LUSITANIA, German zeppelin HINDENBURG. Other venues also that day in the Long Beach area.

Many of us staying aboard the QUEEN MARY in classic outside cabins renowned on the ship during her long steaming career for CUNARD LINE. Tour of the retired battleship IOWA will be moving for me having known the ship well. SSHSA produces their quarterly 'PowerShips' replacing the former name 'Steamboat Bill.' SSHSA also deeply interested in inland rivers, Great Lakes steamers and other vessels. Should be a fascinating six days for me. It's about as 'pure steamboats' as you can get. Will report in time.
