To start off the new year in a steamboaty way, Bliss Travel invites interested folks to an "American Queen Steamboat Night" event on THURSDAY, JANUARY 9th at the historic Calumet Club building, located at 1614 East Spring Street in New Albany, Indiana. The building is located on the left side (one way west) of Spring Street, immediately past the intersection of Vincennes and Spring Streets.
Bliss Travel is currently holding space on the AQ for the cruise which departs St. Louis on October 10th, with stops at Chester, Il, Cape Girardeau, MO, Paducah, KY, Cave-In-Rock, IL, Henderson, KY and Brandenburg, KY, before arrival at Jeffersonville, IN., during the 100th birthday celebration for the Str. BELLE of LOUISVILLE.
Join us for a fun filled evening (beginning at 6:30 PM) of information as the AQ sales team presents details of the cruise. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served. AQ Riverlorian Travis Vasconcelos will be on deck, along with yours truly, as representative of the Howard Steamboat Museum. Travel agency owner Mark Bliss is a board member of the Clark-Floyd Counties Tourism Board and a supporter of the HSM.
Please RSVP by calling 812.945.1212 or visiting Bliss Travel Inc. :
This ought to be a very fun early winter event for steamboaters to attend which can also benefit the museum. There is no cost to attend, just please RSVP so Mr. Bliss can plan enough goodies for those coming. I am looking forward to spending time visiting with a number of steamboat devotees and making some new friends as well. It should prove to be lots of fun, too! See you all there!
Due to the inclement weather this week, the "Steamboat Night" party at Bliss Travel (scheduled for Thursday, January 9) will be postponed to a later date.
New date to be announced!
THANKS!
