Monday the 17th the AMERICAN QUEEN will be passing through the QuadCities for the first time in four years. Check the L&D 15 webcam on .org's links for shots of her at our lock. It should be about 6 to 7 PM. She is on the first of four round trips between St. Louis and St. Paul. On board this trip are Nancy and Dick Prater and Jerry and Leonore Sutphin, among the passengers. Because the AQ site previously had the dates a day off, we scheduled a TWILIGHT cruise for today and Monday, thus eliminating our usual Muscatine to 15 tailing the QUEEN adventure. Hopefully I'll be able to catch the AQ in 14 up at LeClaire after our TWILGHT trip and greet the river friends. The AQ will be passing through Mondays upbound and stopping Tuesdays downbound her first three trips. Then there is a four day St. Paul round trip which moves her final trip to a Thursday up and Friday down. While I'm sorry I'll miss chasing the AQ, it is good to have a couple of riverboat options at the same time, a nice dilemna!
