Lucette just emailed me with the link to a great article about the steamboats in the March/April issue of AARP.
Here's the link

OK, that article convinced us...I guess me and the little missus got to cruise one of them there fancy steamboats...
Wonderful article, thanks Jazzou, and we can hear Capt. Schultz speaking with that deep voice of his. He's been a real good friend to me and Deb over the years. We have a wonderful picture of him at Grafton at that riverside burger joint, what's the name of that place? Wonderful onion rings at that place by the way.
It's funny though, that particular article is NOT in our copy of the March/April issue of AARP Magazine. Maybe AARP doesn't believe that Northeasterners would appreciate the brown water experience? Think that maybe the organization (AARP) provides different editions to different geographical areas?
Speaking of the Northeast, how did Maine fair with Mother Nature's lovely white present this past coupla of weeks...?
After this past two weeks weather in lovely upstate New York, NOLA sounds absolutely invigorating!

Are you sure, Bruno? I didn't even think you were old enough to get AARP. Our issue just arrived here in the wilds of northern Maine the other day, but I hadn't opened it until Lucette sent me the email about Jessica Maxwell's story. It's on page 74 and is titled "Dreamboats." In the table of contents it's listed as "River of Dreams."
Yeah, we got a lot of snow up here, over two feet just last storm. I had to get the roof rake out and get some of it down off the house and the shed.
Page 74 of my WIFE'S issue is "Be a Bully" Hmmm, verdry strange. doesn't say anything about regional issues.

Hmm...is it the issue with Helen Mirren on the cover? That's the one I'm looking at. AARP also sends out a Bulletin publication. Is that what you are looking at? I'll have to dig around and find our bulletin.
