Has anyone heard how Virginia is doing?
She was scheduled for surgery Friday ,9 Feb.

Hey Dennis and everyone,
Virginia is doing fine after her surgery. I talked to her on Valentine's Day and she sounded great. Of course, she wanted to talk mostly about the river....no surprise! This morning I talked to Bebe Wilker (Capt. Stone's daughter), who is looking after Virginia and taking her mail to her. She told me Virginia is up and around, using both a walker and a four-pronged cane. She is still at St. Luke's East Hospital, but only because there isn't a bed available yet in the Highlands Rehab Center, where she'll go for therapy and rehab as soon as possible.
You can't keep our Harbor Mother down! I know she'd love to hear from her friends up and down the rivers. If you need her address, please email me at [email protected] and I'll gladly supply it.
