I'm on the Delta Queen getting ready to leave Alton, Illinois and I just watched them put the eagle back up! I'll try to post a photo later!

On the Pilot house? If so, that is great.

Maybe our posts meant something...

THANKS 🙂

I kept the faith...I heard the music and boy did I do the dance, somehow it all came together.

Hot Damn! Now I am assuming that its the same eagle...I wonder while it was absent if they redid the gold leaf lettering as it was seriously starting to flake off last November?

I was curious to when they were going to replace the MAL signboard. The company seems to be trying so hard to be as elegant as possible, and I guessed that the signboard was temporary. No elegance about it...It just didn't fit the boat OR the company.

Great news...really looking forward to a picture! Geez, Pat and Jo Ann must be going crazy...

Such a funny but true picture

The drooling all over the monitor : )

Speaking of pictures, I was looking through a book of photographs that includes a picture I took and submitted for a phot contest. (No, it was not of any of the boats.) Anyway, the friend with me was another steamboat buff and when I admired a photograph of two swans in the water, the friend said NO NO No Elaine.

Great news! Thanks MAL!

Next project: replace that "gourmet" food with southern cooking and the late night buffet!

I ran into a problem with the photos. I don't have the right software on my laptop to post the photos from my camera! I'll see if I can go into Dubuque tomorrow and get a CD made.

Patti - the DQ will be in Dubuque tomorrow. My Dad and I will be down at the River's Edge Plaza with a video camera filming.

Hope to see you there!
