Which means I'm frantically gathering extras for the rummage sale, and baking cookies. Besides the usual tshirts/sweatshirts and books, I've found some posters and prints, a jack flag from the NATCHEZ and a hardback copy of Log of the Betsy Ann, among other things. I hear several of the usual attendees will be aboard the AQ, but hopefully there will be a goodly number to participate in the daylong festivities at and near the Howard Museum.

I was all set to pack my bags for Louisville/Jeffersonville but then a geeky friend of mine said, "are you going for the comic book festival in Louisville"? Apparently there is some big comic-con like event going on in Louisville. I told my friend that no I was going for a boat ride on the Belle and for a lecture at the Howard Steamboat Museum, followed by that I might not go now that I know there are going to be a bunch of "weird" people in Louisville. His response was "yea, I might not go now either because it sounds like there will be a bunch of FRN there this weekend too". See you all tomorrow!!!!! Ha Ha Ha

Dave if nothing else it shows how happening Louisville is. I had a similar situation a few years back, heading to Louisville for a ride on the Belle and possibly something at Howards and another friend said, "are you going for the Beatles tribute festival". Well I'm not ashamed to say I did partake in some of that festival as well as getting in my river fix. Some big names in Loo'ville this weekend if your into sci-fi. I think I heard Gillian Anderson, Stan Lee, and others from past and current sci-fi shows. My focus however will be firmly on the Belle and Captain Kevin's talk!

On the eve of RR
Here's a sneak preview of some of the items at the Rummage Sale, which will open after Capt. Kevin's presentation. That is a JBS life vest in the third pix.
