Without him, I wouldn't love steamboats and calliopes nearly as much as I do. Happy Birthday, Capt. Hawley!

Happy Birthday Bubba!
And TODAY it's YOUR turn to be the recipient of HAPPY BIRTHDAY wishes! Thanks, Bubba, for all you do to keep steamboating alive. You gladden the hearts of "us oldtimers" who glory in your contagious enthusiasm and exemplary work ethic. Have a great day and keep up steam!

Happy Birthday 'Grandson'!
Yes, I remember that SPIRIT OF PEORIA passenger thinking you were my grandson a couple of years ago. I'm sure now that you are a college graduate and a captain/calliope player like CCH, you look much more mature and that wouldn't happen again...happy birthday and I suspect you've acquired some of that Maine Pumpkinhead for this celebratory occasion!

Thanks yall for the birthday wishes! the SOP trip was definitely an interesting trip, and I think I was the youngest person on that boat by at least 30 years, but we all had fun! And no, no Pumpkinhead yet, but tomorrow is a new day 🙂
