This isn't about steamboats, but it is within the subject of river history. Back in the late 20th century I remember reading in the Waterways Journal from time to time announcements about performances by a musical organization called the American Wind Symohony, organized and directed by one Robert Boudreau. (sp?) I believe it operated out of Pittsburgh and performances were held at various locations along the rivers aboard a self propelled barge named "Point Counterpoint". I assume it travelled the Ohio River, but I've never heard any details of this operation, or what ever became of it. Nor have I ever seen any photos of it. At one point, I think the group even planned on making a European tour, but I don't know if that ever happened.

Does anyone out there have any detailed information about all of this?
