I was northbound above Evansville yesterday, March 30th and met the M/V River Titan above the Dade Park bridges. The River Titan had the Barbara H.'s wharfboat, Loretta Howard, in tow and said it was being taken to Mobile to be "restored".
Does anyone (Steve Huffman, maybe?) know what is being done with it?

No, I didn't know what the possible fate of my old wharfboat was until your posting. If it's true, then I'm glad to hear someone will be using it. I'm thinking it will just be used for holding towboats, and maybe no significant renovation. It's still a useful wharfboat, but it has seen better days. My thoughts were that she might be scrapped, but if she will be put to use, that's great.
