Here are some pictures of an old diesel sternwheel towboat that is on the bank just above the Tell City, Indiana boat ramp. I asked about it a few years ago and someone told me what they thought it was called, can't remember what they said now.

Does anyone have any information on this boat?

Tell City Towboat Remains

John: I think we had a lengthy discussion about this on the board in 2006. At the time I posted pictures of the boat, named GUY L., built in 1947. Later it was renamed MILLIE F., before being sold to Morris Carlock in 1976. I have slides of the boat, taken in October, 1976, when Morris took a small group of river rats to see it. Dan Owen supplied the images, with many details provided by Capt. Bill Judd.

Keith, I do remember that conversation, but couldn't find it in the forums. I would love to see some of those photos of her in her earlier days if you can find them.

John: The discussion was in 2006 and numerous people joined in. If you use the SEARCH feature, hopefully you can dredge it up. Those photos are somewhere in my unfiled mounds and heaps right now!
