I'm looking for some info on Disney steamers from back in the day. The Southern Seas, Ports-O-Call, and Admiral Joe Fowler.
I am also looking for some plans to make modles of these steamers.
Thanks

I was The SouthernSeas username. I have since changed my name to Mike Roberts.

I found some info on Disney Excursion Steamers. Please read. I am still looking for more.

Dear Guest,
The southern Seas and Ports O Call have both been scrapped. What a shame, as they were attractive little boats with authentic walking beam engines. I have super eight movies of one of them from about 1972. If you ever find any plans, let me know as I'd like to build a model of either one of them. They were identical. I have plans for the Mark Twain that runs in Disneyland, which was much like the Joe Fowler. The Fowler had only one stack and a slightly different pilothouse. The beam engines on the two sidewheelers were geared to the wheels, rather than being directly coupled, as the old timers were.

There was a fairly long discussion of the Disney steamers on this board a while ago. You might try the search function.

Headed to WDW

I'm headed to Walt Disney World in 3 weeks. They still have one steamboat, inside the Magic Kingdom, but it is out of service for a few of the days I will be there. I hope to ride it before it's maintenance days. Here's a link to it.
