HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARY SWARD (Charlton), a.k.a. "Steamboat Mary". I'm posting this in the History Section due to the fact that, er, ah, ??, like all of us connect to the Steamboats, she is a part of History. :-).

Fred,
That was a cute sentiment! She is gonna kill you! I know Mary well enough to know that!
Either way....Happy Birthday to Mary! I'd play it on the calliope. Well, if we were on the boat!
Have a great one!

When I get to Chattanooga next month I am going to play a collective Happy Birthday for everybody on the Delta Queen's calliope. Just hoping the city of Chattanooga doesn't have a "noise" ordinance. "Noise" of course being what some poor and confused river city dwellers mistakenly call those dulcet calliope tones.
Oh yeah - Steamboat Mary - Happy Birthday from another one of your adoring fans! Love ya, Jazzou

Now I know whom that Happy Birthday was for on the BELLE OF LOUISVILLE's calliope this past weekend in Madison. I hope you had a good one!

Thank you all. And funny how Shipyard managed to sneak a greeting into another thread, too! Fred, I appreciate the reference to my historical significance. You will get yours. Travis is right.
