I monitor the Saugerties Fulton Steamboat Foundation's E-mail. Last night there was an E-mail asking about steamboats between Newbugh & Poughkeepsie in the early 50's. The writer, as a 7 year old, had made that trip with his parents. I mentioned the ALEXANDER HAMILTON that was retired in the early 70's. He wrote back and said that she sounds like the boat. he included the following in a second reply this morning.
