This one has me stumped. A boatman, John Anderson, He could be anything from a captain to a deck hand. Showed up in Grafton, Illinois, following a ship wreck in a storm and spent sometime in Grafton and in about1866 married Sarah Yarber. John was born in Main in 1830, died in Grafton in 1879. Sarah next shows up in Blair, Nebraska in late 1879 and is soon married to Amos Ketchum. They lived in Nebraska City, Ne. for a number of years/. John Anderson may be related to Mary Bailey wife of William Bailey born in Maine.
