The Ferry Vessel KALAKALA has made her final trip on Thursday 22 January 2015 to a graving dock in Tacoma, WA where she will be scrapped. Efforts to "save" her have failed for lack of interest & funding.
Apparently she still has her original diesel engine, a Busch -Sulzer, sold in the USA at that time as a sideline of the Brewing Empire folks of St Louis, MO.
