The owners of the steamboat SPLASH (formerly SHAWNEE PRINCESS) contacted me looking for historical info on the boat for their new web site. While I do have some brief info, I don't have a lot. I will list what I have below. If anyone here can add to this, please do so!
SHAWNEE PRINCESS
Built by Tucker Marine, Cincinnati, 1970, hull # 70-221.
Originally operated on the Providence Canal and Maumee River near Toledo, Ohio.
Engines: Steam
Service: PASSENGER
Length: 58.7
Breadth: 11.1
Depth: 2.4
Sold and moved (when?) to Delaware River, hailing from Lambertsville, NJ.
Also serving Hope, PA (across the river).
May have also operated under the name RIVER PRINCE while still at Toledo
area.
