I am in New Orlens for vacation and am happy to say steamboat ride number one is under my belt. This question arose while talking to a crew member of the Natchez. didn't get his name but he called comands to the linemen while the boat docked. I asked him the location of the Harvy canal to see the MQ for my own eyes. He told me where the location was and then said there is no need to go, due to she is not there anymore. He said they moved her and noone knows where. Does anyone have any news? Thanks to all for helping my steamboat intersts.
Ed,
That sure is interesting news. I was not aware she had moved. However, I had suspected something like this would happen when she had such regular "visitation". I planned a cruise out of New Orleans in December just to make a point of "visiting" her, as a matter of fact.
If I hear anything I will pass it on. However, things are pretty quiet up here at mile 602.3 on the mighty Ohio River!
I wonder where you hide a 383.10'x68' steamboat?
