Mark, all the best to you in your new job!!
Anyway, I think many of us will miss Kevin.

Mark, like Kevin, is an excellent ships' master. He learned and honed his craft at the side of many a fine riverperson, and the powers that be in Louisville can rest assured that they have choosen an extremely capable gentleman to fill Kevin's large shoes.
Congratulation, Mark!
Best Wishes to Capt. Mark
You got that right. Mark is sure to be a chip off the ole block. For those who may not recognize Capt. Mark, here's a look.
Best Wishes to Captain Doty, and let's all help him get off to a good start, this year, and take plenty of cruises on the BELLE OF LOUISVILLE.

Letter to the editor by Sally Mullen
Here´s a letter to the editor of the Courier Journal by Sally Mullen, Kevin Mullen´s wife:
Carmen
Keith, who has been noticeably absent from the board this week in sickbay, called this morning with this letter to the editor. While Kevin chooses the high, silent, road, I'm glad his wife let the truth be known. Kevin no more retired than did Doc and Roddy in 1994...
It sounds like y'all are bein' real polite here about something, which may be a good thing, but it does appear that "still waters run deep."
Guess I'm just wanting to be nosey! Let me know if I'm talking out of class.

PS Hey Judy, 4 weeks left!! But I'm not really counting???
PPS They're gettin' so they can't stand to see me coming, "Oh no, more steamboatin' talk!"
If 'they' can't stand your talk now, wait until you get back from your trip!!! As to the 'retirement' situation, the general gist is an unfortunate situation, whereby someone who knows not how to operate a boat has the wherewithal to eliminate someone who does, for whatever reasons they have to not want knowledgeable and capable people around...
Y'all sure this boat isn't being managed by my employer, The City of Oroville??
Sure sounds familiar!! 🙁
And, yep, you're right Judy! (BTW, I even get to celebrate my B-day on board the Queen, as does my better half, Linda (we're two days apart, though I've got a year on her--oh wait, that means I'll be the senior citizen first.......Oh Bother!))
