Salute to the S&D Reflector!

The Golden Anniversary issue of the S&D REFFLECTOR has arrived at the landing and it is wonderful. As usual, Editor Dave has done a stellar job. How appropriate that the cover bears a photo of Capt. Fred Way working in his basement office at 121 River Avenue (often called 'The Vatican') on an issue of the magazine -- which he typed TWICE to get the spacings just right, etc. Truly it was a labor of love for him and we were most certainly the benefactors!

Hard to believe that five decades have passed since the inception of the magazine -- and that Capt. Fred has been gone from us for 20 years. I know that he would be very proud of how the publication has evolved and I can just hear him saying in his inimitable, "Well, ALL RIGHT!"

A whistle salute, congratulations and THANKS to Dave -- and to all the folks who contributed interesting and unique stories to this special anniversary issue!
