Someone sent me a copy of the enclosed postcard of a steamer "Carmania" at Madison, IN in 1914. It appears to be built along the lines of a classic European river steamer. Does anyone know more about it? I suspect it is a sidewheeler but that is hard to see in the photo.

Built 1896 at Newport News, went to Mexico. Harry Means brought her to Louisville in 1914 to run excursions. Sold fall of 1914 to Philadelphia. Foundered in Fall River 1924. She was a sidewheeler. 175 x 26. Steel hull.
