I have nearly completed my commissioned musical "Rivertown" for the bicentennial of Madison, Indiana. Last week I handed over the completed piano/vocal scores to the conductor and pianist - 200 pages - 21 songs. I am now tweaking the orchestral scores until I hand them in sometime in August.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online through my web site - Home | Rivertown.

The show dates are 10/09, 10/10. 10/11 & 10/16. 10/17 & 10/18.

A couple of folks on this forum mentioned they might come so I wanted to get this info out.

In the second act, we open with "Down at the River" - when a showboat arrives and does a short show on the dock to entice people to buy show tickets. We are naming the showboat "Billy Bryant's Showboat" and will have a young girl - like Betty Bryant - come out and do an impression of Jenny Lind. We are fudging on history a bit in this scene because Betty would not have been alive in the year of this scene - so you might say we are just basing the character on the real Betty.

I am happy with how the show turned out and look forward to seeing how it is staged. Thanks for all suggestions given to me here.

Blessings!
