It looks to me as if she's the old SHAWNEE PRINCESS that use to operate at Grand Rapids, Ohio on the Maumee River. Many years ago I got to steer her. I'm glad that she is still operating, but what a shame Ohio let her get away!

AS usual, Franks 100% right. He never misses. Tucker Marine, Cincinnati, built the boat in 1970, hull # 70-221. Now if Frank could solve the question on the Louisville levee that Keith asked, what is the towboat passing the wharf. I thought Jim or Alan would answer but to no avail.

Shucks, Cap, I'm at a real loss for words. And as far as the diesel towboat, I'm at a still bigger loss for words!
Originally the SHAWNEE PRINCESS had a shorter hull. Some time after I was on her she was lengthened with that "duckbill platypus" snout added on.

Does anyone have any other specs on this boat (current length, beam, steam engine specs, etc)? I'm just updating my files on the Shawnee Princess.

Found most of the info I was looking for on the Coast Guard vessel documentation web site:
Length: 58.7 ft
Breadth: 11.1 ft
Depth: 2.4 ft
