My trip on the Str. ALASKA QUEEN was cancelled last Wednesday, and she was no where to be seen while I was in Ketchikan. I asked a local tour vendor what's up with her, and his reply was rather cryptic. He said that the rumor is, and he emphasized the word rumor, "She's headed south." So unfortunately there is one less steamboat operating than earlier this year.
Frank,
Perhaps this can answer the question....I was hunting for any internet presence for the sale of the AMERICAN QUEEN and found this ad for "1984 Custom Built Paddlewheeler". Although the ad lists the vessel as a estate sale (which is how the owners of the ALASKA QUEEN bought her)....it could be the current information. Wonder how she got to Isleton, CA?

That's her alright. Now think, for a cool million she could be yours!
I can't get that link to work, Travis.
Isleton is between Sacramento and SF. But she'd have to be towed down the coast to get there.
