Made it down to Lambert's Landing in St. Paul, MN today to see the American Queen. It was refreshing to see her back in her all white paint! She looks great! Crew looked happy and upbeat. Unfortunately our local media didn't mention one word of her arrival so there was very little fan fair. I followed her after departure until the sun set. Here are a few pic's for now........I will post more tomorrow.
AQ shots
Thanks for the interesting shots of the AQ. We don't see many of her up in that narrow area. That bridge clearance is probably the lowest on the UMR - is the river stage fairly low up there now or is it normal?
Judy,
Not a problem at all as I enjoy all of your footage from down in the NOLA region on a regular basis. The river stage is actually close to normal for this time of year as we up until recently have had some decent rain in the region. However with no rain in the immediate forecast, river levels will be below average by the time she returns in early October.

Mississippi Queen Pictures for comparison
I have attached some pictures of the Mississippi Queen from her last ever departure from St. Paul prior to her untimely demise. The river levels here are very similar to what the American Queen just navigated. She may have been an eye sore but I sorely miss the Mississippi Queen.

AQ was good to see
I saw the AQ at Lambert's Landing last month. Unfortunately, I was coming back from a meeting and had to head to the office right away and wasn't able to stop and take photos. Nonetheless, it was good to see her back on the waterway.
