Here are two pictures taken 18 years apart of the NATCHEZ calliope. These illustrate what was discussed in the JBS calliope thread, I think. Note the steam emitting from the bottom of the whistles. Keith took the first one in March 1976 and I took the second one in December 1994. A bonus third shot shows how one 'tunes' a calliope... Doc is out of uniform as this was on a Sunday afternoon, his day off, and he just came over to play the 2 PM calliope concert. I don't know the exact year, but sometime after 1988 when the phony scape pipes were added.
