Just a friendly reminder that the memorial service for Capt. Alan L. Bates will be held aboard the Str. BELLE of LOUISVILLE on Saturday, June 2nd. This will be a dockside party from 4:00 until 6:30 PM.
If you will be attending and have not already done so, please notify Vicky Nugent (Alan's granddaughter) at [email protected] so the family has an idea of how many guests to expect.
Don't forget that the boat will be making her usual afternoon sightseeing cruise from noon until 2:00 PM. Information about that, as well as directions on how to reach the boat, parking, etc., is available at Belle of Louisville and Spirit of Jefferson - Home

We would love to be at that memorial but sadly cannot. I know there will be lots of great stories told, and we will be there in spirit.

I would love to be there, but unfortunately I'm on my boat until June 6th. Here is a picture I took of Capt. Bates last year on the Belle of Louisville.
