On the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg address, guess who will deliver the timeless speech at the place where Lincoln gave it originally? None other than our own Mr. Lincoln, Jim Getty, who has countless times portrayed the 16th president aboard the Delta Queen boats. I can only remark that when you've made the Bangor Daily News, you've got it made!!

The Abraham Lincoln Presential Library and Museum in Springfield, IL is a MUST visit. if one does not have an entire day to spend in Springfield spend as much time as possible in the Library. Currently the "Everett copy" (one of five authentic hand written by Lincoln himself after the event) is on display. This copy was purchased in the 1940s with much of the $60, 000.00 raised by Illinois Schoolchildren. This copy is the best preserved of the five copies. Two in the Library of Congress, one in the White House and one at Cornell University.
Remember that Abe Lincoln was a boatman himself at one point in his early life.
