On this final day of 2011, here's a wish to all out there in "Steamboat Land" that the new year will bring you a boat load of good health and prosperity!
I look forward to seeing many of you at the museum and elsewhere in 2012 and, as my mentor and patron saint of steamboating, Miss Ruth Ferris, always closed her letters, "KEEP UP STEAM!"

Same wishes here, from the Eugene Oregon airport as we await our charter flight to Los Angeles and the Rose Bowl and 80 degrees and sun! 2012 returns one steamboat to us, a pleasant reversal of recent years' events.
