I do Civil War reenactments and interpretive history presentations, portraying a Red River steamer captain of 1863 or 1870. While I would never be mistaken for the real item by any genuine riverman, the things I have learned on this board have added immeasurably to my presentations. They add the little every day touches that liven up and add depth to the talk while I give the audience some history and try to infect them with steamboat fever. Thank you to all the kind and knowledgeable people of this board for continuing my education and answering my often off-the-wall questions. (BTW I always work in a Save the Delta Queen and ride the Graceful Ghost and the Natchez segment at the end)
